Here are the latest CPD materials to have been assessed and approved by the RIBA. These include both brand new and newly-revised CPD materials.
Classified as machines under the European Machinery Directive, automatic doors are covered by regulation EN 16005, which sets out the standards and specifications required when operating and maintaining door-sets, their protective devices and safety systems. This seminar helps the specifier to understand the legislation, danger points and safety requirements covering sliding, swing, folding and revolving doors.

This CPD seminar examines the options available to the specifier when designing safety and security into a site, and aims to provide him or her with a thorough understanding of the available technology, and the knowledge necessary to configure the most appropriate solution for the client. Learning aims include: the reasons for using entrance control, supplementation of manned guarding by technology, how to integrate security equipment into a building, integration into design, and the reasons for using vehicle control.
