Corrosion protection of steelwork should be an important element of any design. If overlooked, it can lead to extra maintenance and environmental costs. This seminar sets this important aspect into context and covers issues such as the galvanizing process, performance, sustainability and specification.

Galvanizers Association is the market development and technical support organisation for the hot dip galvanizing industry. It is an authoritative source of information and offers free advice to specifiers.

Galvanizers Association has recently been a major contributor to the European Initiative for Galvanizing in Sustainable Construction. The aims of the initiative are to help specifiers, developers and their clients consider how to provide corrosion protection of steel in the context of sustainable construction.

This presentation showcases various different metal finishes including: textured stainless steel and other metals; INCO coloured stainless steel – a unique product that relies on light interference effects to give the impression of colour; etched stainless steel, brass and bronze to custom and standard designs, and bead blasted stainless steel.
