Here are the latest CPD materials to have been assessed and approved by the RIBA. These include both brand new and newly-revised CPD materials.
This CPD seminar on the specification of ironmongery looks at the following areas: legislation, including the Disability Discrimination Act, Equality Act, BS 8300: 2009, and Approved Documents and their equivalents throughout the UK and Ireland; the impact of BS 8300, specifically on products such as door closers, automatic door operators, door furniture and hardware such as hinges, locks and panic hardware, as well as access control products and handrails, and; visual contrast and light reflectance values.

The Guild of Architectural Ironmongers (GAI) is the trade body that represents the interests of the UK architectural ironmongery industry. Its qualifications, education and CPD programmes are widely respected in the UK and overseas. Its technical information service is the only specialist service of its kind and provides GAI members with comprehensive advice on issues relating to the legislation, regulations and standards governing the use of architectural ironmongery and related hardware.
