This seminar offers architects an introduction to fire curtain and smoke curtain barrier assemblies. It also provides an objective review of the recently published British Standard BS 8524 for Active Fire Curtain Barriers Assemblies. Part 1 is a specification. Part 2 is a code of practice for installation, commissioning and servicing.

This seminar has been designed to help architects understand: the capabilities of integrity-only, heat radiation control and fully insulated fire resistance glass; impact testing to demonstrate Part B and Part K compliance; how to specify fire resistance glass to meet with recognised industry terminology, and; acoustic properties in relation to BB93. It also offers practical guidance on designing for all fire resistant certified system applications.
