People have used natural stone in architectural design since prehistoric times. Using stone requires an understanding of the main types, how they were originally formed and how this influences their properties. Knowledge of extraction and fabrication methods, along with performance testing, engenders confidence in specification. This seminar shows how natural stone can be used to enhance projects.
Lundhs is one of the largest producers of natural stone in northern Europe. It extracts rough blocks of high-quality stone from its own quarries in Norway and exports its materials to stone factories around the world. As one of the most modern quarrying operations in the world Lundhs strives to lead the industry in responsible operations, performance certification and improving sustainability.
