Factory Visit, by Galvanizers Association
Galvanizing plants throughout the UK and Ireland will take part in an industry open day on Tuesday 15 October 2019, shining a light on the impressive alchemy that is hot dip galvanizing.

The free coordinated site visits are aimed at giving construction industry professionals a valuable opportunity to learn how to extend and improve their use of galvanizing.

Galvanizers Association (GA) represents the hot dip galvanizing industry of the UK and Ireland.

GA publishes a wide range of technical literature and is on hand to give an immediate answer to all your queries about galvanizing.

GA was a founder member of the RIBA CPD Providers Network and works closely with RIBA to provide relevant information for specifiers across all sectors of the construction industry.

An introduction to HA104 specification, the environmentally-friendly alternative to resin-based materials, and specification of the reinstatement of openings in highways (SROH). Covers: why ironwork failure occurs and the costs involved, the benefits of HAPAS (Highways Authority Product Approval Scheme) approved reinstatement materials and the step-by-step process, and an overview of other materials to be considered, e.g. anti-skid products.

Seminar, by Juta UK Ltd
A presentation designed to increase awareness of the requirements of structural waterproofing design for new builds (to BS8102:2009), and ground contamination and ground gas hazards (to BS8485:2015 + A1 2019), to facilitate appropriate material selection at an early design stage.
