An Introduction to Regenerative Architecture
Seminar, by Havwoods Ltd
Regenerative design is a step up from sustainable design. It optimises the huge benefits of restorative principals. It optimises ‘good’ by not simply focussing on what is ‘less bad’. This CPD seminar unpacks a new concept that could have a huge positive impact on the built environment, as well as on our current, global existential crisis.
One of the most effective ways to enhance the style of a commercial, hospitality, retail or residential space is through the right choice of flooring. Environmentally, wood flooring is one of the best options for specifiers worldwide (if chosen carefully). Havwoods provides wood flooring for most scheme types. Its wide variety of designs and finishes allow the specifier to choose flooring boards that complement an existing style or serve as the starting point for a whole new renovation project.

New Super Safe Flashing and Detailing Product
An introduction to a unique, malleable zinc alloy originally developed to replace lead flashings on new build and refurbishment projects due to the toxicity and theft issues associated with sheet lead. This new super safe flashing is highly malleable and self-bonding (no hot works or welding permits are required). It is environmentally-friendly, but used in exactly the same way as lead is (i.e. sharing the same tools). It is also 2018 BBA and Exova fire safe certificated. Further developed to include a non-combustible A1 cavity tray to comply with new Building Regulations, the product is already being specified on UK projects.
Metra Metals Ltd is a leading UK distributor of hard metals for cladding, facias and roofing projects. Part of a major German zinc manufacturing group of companies, Metra Metals is a leading innovator in metal manufacturing with a superb research and development facility and teams of specialists expert in the manufacture of complex metal rolls for construction products.
