A seminar on aluminium system solutions that meet current accessibility requirements. Includes an overview of accessibility issues and background alongside more recent changes to Approved Document M. Also features case study examples of level access thresholds, clear opening widths and accessible handles.

Seminar, by Arpa UK Ltd
A comprehensive overview of electron beam cured (EBC) smart materials. Examines how they are made, where they are used and the benefits of using smart materials for interior design projects. Also demonstrates the key features of these materials by showing how they are both durable and repairable, thereby reinforcing their sustainability and lifecycle credentials.

With over 60 years’ experience in manufacturing decorative surfaces, Arpa’s focus is to create innovative and on-trend solutions for interior design projects. The electron beam cured smart material is a great example of this. It is used on many applications, such as desks, kitchen cupboards, worktops and cubicles, and in a variety of market sectors, such as commercial, residential, retail, hospitality, education and healthcare.

Seminar, by Allgood Ltd
Explores the balance between electronic security and ease of access. Provides an overview of the different electronic locks and access control systems available, and how these fit to frames and doors. Also examines the difference between fail-safe and fail-secure, current standards and fire safety implications.

An in-depth look at the problems associated with entrance design, together with the DDA’s recommendations regarding operating forces, weights, safety and drainage. Also discusses the weatherproofing of entrances and the influence the client will have in the design.

Comar is one of the largest privately-owned British aluminium systems companies. It is based in Mitcham and uses a network of fabricator/installers throughout the UK. Comar has an extensive product range, from simple shop front systems to six-window and three-curtain walling suites, as well as louvers and brise-soleil products. The company has also recently launched a composite aluminium/timber range.
