Buildings: when viewed from a distance we see form and function; when viewed from inside we see light and shade. That may be an oversimplification, but it hardly understates the importance of luminosity, colour and contrast to good design. Our theme this month embraces the dark side – and the light – by looking at windows and other materials that admit, transmit, reflect, distort and absorb the sun’s rays.

All CPD materials included are RIBA-accredited so you’ll earn double points, which count towards your annual total requirement of 100 learning points. They’ve been created by members of the RIBA CPD Providers Network, a group of construction industry product and service providers committed to raising standards and promoting best practice.
