Fire sprinkler systems are increasingly used for life safety and property protection in all types of building, and are a reliable way of protecting buildings from fire. Specifying a sprinkler system can pay for itself through architectural ‘trade-offs’, permitting larger compartments, fewer staircases, and reducing the need for fire doors. This seminar covers how sprinklers work, and highlights some of the advantages of chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) as a material for sprinkler piping, compared to steel or copper.

Lubrizol is an innovator and world leader in CPVC resins and compounds. Its high-performance and low-combustibility CPVC technology can be found in a wide variety of applications, including plumbing, fire protection and industrial piping. Backed by robust research and development capabilities and the technical expertise of its piping system consultants, billions of feet of Lubrizol CPVC piping systems have been installed globally.
