Here are the latest CPD materials to have been assessed and approved by the RIBA. These include both new and recently-revised CPD materials.
This seminar explains what brise soleil (solar shading) is, and the different types and typical materials used. It also includes information on how to maximise functionality and integration into an overall design scheme, and the advantages of solar shading in providing heat reduction, privacy screening and glare reduction.

Dales has been designing and manufacturing building products for over forty years, and offers a range of brise soleil (solar shading) systems, eaves systems, wall copings and rainscreen cladding in anodised or polyester powder coated aluminium.

Dales provides design assistance, with site visits and samples, and operates to the international QA standard ISO 9001:2015 Design and Manufacture.

This seminar emphasises the importance of passive fire protection, including regulatory and insurance requirements. It provides specification examples for key application areas, such as protecting structural steelwork, timber/mezzanine floors, fire barriers, penetration seals and duct work. It also explains how technical products are often required to fulfil fire protection and operational needs in the most challenging environments.
