Seminar
Specifying Fully Glazed Fire Doors & Partitions
Specifying glazed fire doors and screens is only part of the process. Understanding the limitations of these systems in respect of the fields of application of their fire test evidence is crucial. This targeted CPD will guide designers through the complex issues and give confidence in accurate and compliant specification.

This CPD aims to provide:
1. An explanation of the different forms of fire resistance.
2. An illustration of the fire resisting capability of steel framed glazing systems and doors.
3. A guide to the forms of evidence that establish the fields of application of that fire resisting capability.
4. An explanation of the limitations imposed by that evidence including the limitations of the supporting constructions
5. A guide to the smoke resistance capabilities of glazed systems

By the end of this seminar you should:
1. Know the difference between the forms of fire resistance and the importance of specifying it correctly.
2. Understand the extents of fire resistance of glazed systems.
3. Be able to request the correct forms of evidence at the earliest stage of the design process.
4. Appreciate how fire test evidence dictates the use and extent of supporting constructions and the hardware used on steel-framed fully glazed fire doors.
5. Understand the capabilities of fully glazed systems in preventing the passage of smoke.

Seminar
Specifying Glass Partitions (Scotland)
A guide for the Scottish architectural community to the key performance criteria when specifying glazed partition systems. By the end of the CPD you should have a greater understanding of:
- The distinction between different forms of glazed partition and where they might be specified
- Appreciation of how performance claims are made
- How to specify in the knowledge that building regulations can be satisfied

Multiple CPD formats
The WELL Building Standard - How can glazed partitions contribute?
This CPD discusses how glazed partitions and doors can play an important part in gaining WELL certification. Ensuring the relevant products are chosen, parts that are satisfied and documented will make a positive contribution to the final certification. By the end of the presentation you should have a greater understanding of:
- The benefits of WELL certification
- The WELL certification process
- The WELL certification methodology
- The role of glass partitions within WELL
- How to specify glass partitions in a design which meets the WELL Standard
