This seminar provides the architect with a brief introduction to external rendering before considering the standard that has been in use for many years: BS 5262. It also examines standards that have been introduced more recently, BS EN 998 – 1 and BS EN 13914 – 1, and offers an understanding of how the external render industry has progressed over the years – providing a useful pointer to the future direction the rendering industry is taking, and what that means to external render.
