Solar Shading: Form and Function and Fire Safety
This seminar explains what brise soleil (solar shading) is, how it reduces energy bills in summer and winter, its various functions (including shading, reducing heat gain, privacy screening and glare reduction), aesthetics, how the latest revisions to Part B: Fire Safety impacts on solar-shade design, and design considerations to ensure functionality.
