Presentation Overview
This CPD will discuss the basic tools needed to design a lift. Topics covered include key terms, guidelines, regulations, automatic drawings, elevator types and door openings. By the end of the video you should have a greater understanding of:
- Lift shaft measurement as the start point for design a lift
- Regulations supporting the design of an efficient and safe lift
- Different types of technologies used in the lift industry – including hydraulic and traction elevators and machine room and machine room less elevators.
- Doors selection and of how many types of doors are commonly used in the lift industry
- Cabin dimensions and the standard dimensions used to design a lift and create a special space for a unique experience
