Optimising MVHR
This CPD is intended for delegates with a limited, background knowledge of Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR) systems. The presentation provides an overview of the relevance of MVHR to modern homes in Northern Ireland, with specific reference to Building Regulations Technical Booklet K. It examines relevant issues including Sustainability, Balanced Ventilation, Controllability, The Transfer of Sound and Noise, and Filtration. It also considers additional items which must be addressed when designing or specifying an MVHR system. By the end of the seminar you should have a greater understanding of:
- The relevance of MVHR in achieving compliance with Building Regulations in Northern Ireland
- How to inbuild sustainability into MVHR projects
- The concept of 'Balanced' Ventilation and how to specify it
- How to specify manual and automated system controls as appropriate
