Harlequin Floors (British Harlequin plc)

Overview

For nearly 40 years Harlequin has been producing a range of sprung and vinyl floors suitable for dance, the performing arts, theatre, entertainment and display. Harlequin has worked closely with the dance and performance communities to develop a range of flooring to include long-lasting, durable and multi-purpose, portable and permanent sprung and vinyl floors, fully tested in accordance with DIN Standard 18032-2, which meet rigorous demands of all types of dance and help minimise injury risk to dancers. The range also includes floors for permanent installation in a dance facility, theatre or educational establishment, portable sprung floors for stages and theatres or portable vinyl floors for rolling out in a village hall. Harlequin also offers an online CPD on the subject of the difference between a sprung floor for dance and a sports floor. Its objective is to explain the intrinsic difference between the two types of flooring and the consequences of dancing on an incorrectly specified floor.
