Description

Structural Ceilings are more than a ceiling, they are an innovative system which has been specifically designed & engineered for the Data Centre sector and they are now a crucial component within the white space of data centres. Structural Ceilings serve a dual purpose: Firstly, acting as plenum which enhances airflow, as it allows for the distribution of cool air and the efficient removal of hot air, contributing to optimal cooling & energy efficiency within the data centre.

Secondly, they function as a high strength platform for the attachment and suspension of critical infrastructure & heavy equipment. Structural Ceilings empower ceiling supported containment, partitions, cable trays attachment, surface-mounted mechanical & electrical equipment. The suspension of these infrastructure components allows for better equipment placement and efficient use of the available space within the data hall.

By the end of this CPD delegates should know about:

  • The role of a Structural Ceiling in the white space of data centres.
  • CE Marking to EN 1090 Exc. Class 2.
  • Validating Suspended loads in the absence of a unified standard.
  • Product Installation & Safety.
  • Environmental Product Declaration.
