Description

This session explores the profound impact that colour choices have on our perception, behaviour, and wellbeing within buildings, and also examines the role that flooring plays in shaping these experiences. It covers how different hues, tones, contrasts, and material finishes can be specified to create spaces that support focus, relaxation, healing or social interaction.

Attendees will learn how to apply evidence-based principles of colour psychology to enhance the user experience in education, workplace, retail and residential settings. The session also addresses accessibility and inclusivity considerations, ensuring colour and flooring design together are supportive for neurodiverse users and those with visual impairments.
