Designing for Dementia

This CPD will discuss the impact of dementia and why design matters when creating spaces for those living with the disease. It will examine inclusive design and move through the key considerations necessary to designing for dementia. By the end of the seminar, you should have a greater understanding of:

• Some of the ways in which dementia can impact how an individual perceives their environment
• How good design can help create a more supportive environment for those living with dementia
• Key considerations for dementia focused design, including use of colour contrast, surface texture, lighting, flooring,
• Tips on creating suitable colour schemes
