Designing for Dementia Facilities

Alzheimer facilities are becoming a public health policy priority for the UK. Whilst suitable medical treatment may be central to the quality of care, a comfortable environment in also closely linked to patient’s well being. This presentation provides an overview of the overall care environment and provides guidance in planning interior spaces, adapted for the care of people with Alzheimer and in particular in the choice of interior design, flooring and colour.
