Background

Founded in 2002, Rako Controls has been at the forefront of developing innovative solutions and deploying state-of-the-art smart lighting controls. Designed and manufactured in the UK at our ISO9001-certified factory in Kent, our smart lighting control systems are straightforward to install and easy to use.

With control options ranging from keypads, smartphone apps and voice command, to integration with third party systems and controllers. Rako provides lighting controls that offer luxury, comfort and convenience in the hospitality, commercial and smart home residential sectors.

Sustainability

At Rako we are continually trying to improve our products and processes to be more sustainable. We are proud to manufacture our products in the UK, reducing the need to source and move components across the globe. All Rako products come with a three year return to base warranty and our product repair service means that where possible, units can be economically repaired rather than replaced.

We are continually trying to reduce our fuel consumption with 79% of our company vehicles either fully electric or hybrid and use renewable energy with solar panels installed at our head office and manufacturing faculties.

We have removed polystyrene chips, bubble wrap and plastic tape from our consignment packaging and replaced them with recycled paper alternatives. We are also phasing out printed instruction manuals and now print a QR code on the inside of product boxes with digital links to manuals available online.
