Green Roofs Ireland has been growing living roofs commercially since 2008 — the first company on the island of Ireland and still the only one growing at this scale today. Over 500,000m² of product has shipped from its 30-acre growing site and controlled-environment nursery at Larne Lough, County Antrim.

Where most suppliers lead with drainage boards and substrate depths, Green Roofs Ireland leads with the plants. Its specification practice, Natira, designs and grows bespoke, biodiverse living roofs — Composed Ecology — built from named plant communities and habitat features, with every plant chosen and grown, not just sourced.

The company supplies architects, contractors, landscapers and homeowners across Ireland and the UK, from straightforward sedum blankets through to fully designed, ecologically rich roof systems.
