Seminar, by Rockfon
Studies repeatedly show how appropriate design has a desirable – and measurable – impact on clinical outcomes and costs. This seminar is a guide to specifying ceilings for healthcare buildings. It covers: the benefits of stone wool as a primary material type for ceilings; factors to consider when specifying ceilings (such as layout, colour and surfaces); infection control requirements; acoustics for privacy and social interaction; lighting and access to nature and natural light; and, relevant regulations and guidelines.

Rockfon manufactures acoustic ceiling tiles, islands, baffles, wall panels and grids. In other words, complete acoustic systems. Rockfon's solutions start with people: the student struggling to hear, patients unable to rest, office workers unable to concentrate. Its product range extends beyond acoustics. It improves visual comfort, reflects daylight, resists moisture and repels bacteria. Its colours and styles are constantly evolving to help transform human wellbeing. As part of the ROCKWOOL Group, sustainability lies at the heart of Rockfon’s research and development. It's why it uses natural stone, constantly reduces its carbon footprint, and recycles as part of the circular economy. Rockfon solutions are used in schools, hospitals, offices, shops, hotels, restaurants, sports facilities and factories – as well as at home in home cinemas and open plan living areas where acoustics can be a problem.
