Seminar, by BlazeMaster
A helpful guide covering: what CPVC is; the use of sprinkler systems and how sprinkler systems work; an overview of UK fire statistics; relevant approvals and standards for fire sprinkler systems; fire tests for plastic fire sprinkler systems; a comparison between CPVC and steel systems; handling, storage and installation, and; case studies and examples.

BlazeMaster CPVC pipes and fittings provide unique advantages in sprinkler installations, including superior hydraulics and ease of joining and assembly. CPVC systems were first installed in the US, but have more recently become very popular in the UK and Scandinavia, as well as mainland Europe. Following the most recent European-led initiatives to address the need for sustainable building solutions, several independent studies by European government agencies and insurers have shown that the installation of fire sprinkler systems is an important contributing factor in sustainability. They considerably reduce fire, smoke and water damage, and eliminate the need for fire damaged buildings to be torn down and rebuilt. In that regard, CPVC fire sprinkler piping has a positive environmental impact because its production requires less energy than steel pipe, and because its corrosion resistance facilitates a longer service life compared to metal pipe.

Approximate duration excluding time for questions/answers: 45 minutes.
