A guide to hydraulic lime as a principal binder in lime mortars for use in modern construction. Often, lime is considered only in the context of historic building renovation and conservation. However, the features and benefits of hydraulic lime can be applied to modern design using traditional methods, the key benefit being reduced or no-movement joints, giving much improved aesthetics. This presentation features case studies of various projects.
