Presentation Overview
This CPD aims to educate architects about how to specify Smart Projects for the commercial, residential and hospitality sector, depending on the complexity of the project. It will highlight what the benefits of specifying Smart are and give an overview of the Smart Home technologies that exist in the market today. It will also give insight into Smart Home statistics, how it makes for an inclusive environment, as well as BREEAM and how specifying Smart can help your project get BREEAM credits. By the end of the presentation you should have a greater understanding of:
- Smart home technologies and what is available in the market (IoT, IFTTT, eNet, KNX)
- The different levels of smart specifying and when to use them
- A system integrator's role and how it affects your work
