Copper and copper alloys (such as brass and bronze) are used as roofing and cladding materials throughout Europe. Copper and many of its alloys are also inherently antimicrobial, offering a family of materials from which hygienic touch surfaces (such as taps, door handles and light swtiches) can be made.
