This CPD will provide the designer with an overview of the main drivers within the specification process for when specialist containment kerbs are required as well as an understanding of the correct way to integrate these into the design of urban highways to protect users where there is a risk of vehicles leaving the carriageway and potentially coming into contact with pedestrians and/or structures.
